Ramadhan Invitation: Opening of the Fast dinner |

|
|
As many of you know, the month of fasting ("Ramadhaan") is
soon to begin in the Islamic Calender. This is an important
month in the Islamic faith, when Muslims will fast during
daylight hours, focus on their spiritual and personal
development, and think of those in poverty and hunger.
Muslims all over the world enjoy each other's food and
company every evening when the fast ends at sunset ("Iftaar"),
and we cordially invite you to break the fast with us on
Sunday 23rd of September (please see details below). We will
hold an exhibition on the fast, and of course there will be
a range of food from across the Muslim world. It would be a
pleasure to see you there - you do not need to have fasted
to attend! Please feel free to tell any of your
friends or colleagues about the event - everyone is welcome.
I would greatly appreciate an indication of whether you may
be able to attend, although I hasten to add that this is not
a formal event, and you are very welcome to come along on
the day with guests of your own, even if you have not been
able to reply. Event Details Date: Sunday
23rd September Time: 6pm to 9pm Venue: North
Oxford Community Centre
